Let's flip baby!
I went in for my 36 week appointment today. I was so excited for this – I’m not sure why. Perhaps because it signified the start of actually talking about delivering the baby?!?

Oh, 5Ks :). They’re so short (and painful!) This was a great race. It was very well organized, a great course (right on for distance!), and really good competition. I wasn’t ready for a race yet, since I’ve only been training for about 2 weeks (and haven’t done a VO2 max workout since mid-May), but…
Argh. Just when you think you have everything figured out… My boss schedules a meeting smack dab in the middle of my planned 20 mile adventure. Yes, I know, I shouldn’t be scheduling this on an work-day afternoon… but I specifically stayed until past 8pm one evening and 10pm another to make this happen, not…
I’m going to tackle this blog format this weekend, but before I scour the interweb for a new template (I take forever with these things), I wanted to see if any of you had recommendations. I don’t need anything fancy – just something simple, clean looking, the ability to have the rotating pictures on the…
First, the absolute BEST news: I WILL BE RUNNING FOR BROOKS AGAIN NEXT YEAR!!!! I am so, so, SO grateful! What an awesome company. Despite the dismal end to my first year with them, I have the opportunity to chase that 2016 Qualifier with the Brooks logo in 2014! I am so thankful to be…
Last Wednesday’s tempo workout was not good. It wasn’t mental. If anything, I was as strong mentally during that workout as I’ve been. I knew I needed to hit it and was excited to do it. About 15 minutes into the tempo (averaging about 6:07 until this point), we turned a sharp corner & all…
Quick update before I do my typical race blog — I finished in 11th place (just 30 seconds out of 10th, 40 seconds out of 9th, ug!!) in 2:47:09. It was perhaps my worst race in the last year and a half – my legs felt dead from my short warm-up before the race :(….
So I guess that means we're not running on Wednesday…
Best of luck, I'll be praying for you and baby.
Looks like we can schedule 3 more weekly "run clubs" before the c-section on the 15th We'll just have to move the Wednesday run to Tuesday the week of the 15th :).
Sending positive turning vibes your way!!! Just like any race… you've got this!
I tried, they tried. No luck. But — there's a reason for everything. Maybe this just better prepares me for a C-section and I'll be even more giddy/thankful if baby flips and I can deliver naturally!
Just happened up this post and I am asking God to give you a miracle…John 15:7 and Matt 18:19 in Jesus name!! Thank you Jesus for her Miracle Amen.
Thank you for this! I had to look up the passages, they couldn't be more perfect:
John 15:7 If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you
Matthew 18:19 Again I say to you, if two of you agree on earth about anything they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven
Thinking of you! Ouchies! (which is a word that proves I am not ready for motherhood).
There's nothing wrong with that word! 🙂 It was a little "ouch-y", I will say that 🙂
Fingers crossed for you, Nichole!! Have you done any of the natural exercises to help turn the baby? I had success turning my first child using this site: http://spinningbabies.com/baby-positions/breech-bottoms-up/305-body-work-for-breech. Don't know if it'll work for you (and be careful it might cause you some heartburn/nausea) but it might be worth a shot! Good luck and keep us posted!
I'm on it now!
