Pregnancy Week 13
Everything turned out just awesome! |
A smaller-ish long sleeve definitely accentuates the stomach. Perhaps to the casual observer it still looks like I just ate too much?? |
Obligatory side-shot. This was at the start of 13 weeks. |

“Sometimes it’s hard to see the rainbow when there’s been endless days of rain.” – Christina Greer, Two-Week Wait: Motherhood Lost and Found Last week was filled with more rain. There’s still a lot I want to explain after my post late in September… as in, how did all of this start, and my gosh! how…
I took my first day off in 18 days on Friday (too long, I usually only try to go 2 weeks, but hadn’t been looking at my training log). I tried to do a threshold workout on day 17, and felt like I was working harder than I should have been. My lungs felt fine,…
I decided to let Greta choose a name this morning as we were getting ready for daycare/work. She chose one, but then threw it down… … and lunged for another name in “the pile”. She is clearly thinking hard about which name to pick And, we ‘ve made a choice! Picking a winner the only…
= not fun. I’m through day 1.5, and my brain is a little fuzzy (could be sleep related, or that work is a little crazy, but I don’t think so). Looking forward to Thursday when the “all carb” plan kicks in! At least then I’ll have more options for meals and snacks. Eating salad, chicken,…
I have a LOT of work to do! Yesterday was the first day I had run in… well, a long time. I did a whole 4 miles on the treadmill yesterday. I wanted to start out conservatively — there’s nothing worse than getting healthy and then taking a step back. Today I woke up and…
I thought it would be appropriate to have Mesa, Stunt Puppy’s #1 fan, choose the winner of this blog contest. So… every blog and email entry was lined up, and Mesa was asked to come down to choose her favorite! Which would you choose?!? CONGRATS, Kate! Send me an email at [email protected] with your preference…
Take care! You may want to stop running for a while… Just my advice because it's dangerous for you to run while being pregnant. At the same time you may want to check out my blog too, http://singaporerun.wordpress.com I have posted some motivational quotes and hope it will help you. 🙂
Why do you say dangerous to run while pregnant? Just curious, since all the doctors we have talked to say it is not dangerous, and in fact say exercise is good for both baby and mom. Plus there have been many top women runners (Paula R., Carrie T., Kara G., Lauren F., plus many more) who have run during pregnancy. I understand it is not good to start a running plan while pregnant, but for a serious runner it is healthy (and probably preferable) to continue running (as long as you monitor intensity).
Jenny must be from 1957 when women were not aloud to lift their arms over their heads while pregnant.
