Frightening 5k and Mini Monster’s Dash – 10-28-16

What are YOU doing on Friday, October 28th?

I’m hoping you are coming down for the Frightening 5k and Mini Monster’s Dash I’ll be directing in Northfield!

I started this race last year when I was looking for a local 5k around Halloween. I didn’t find one, so decided to put one on myself. It was a ton of fun, so I’m putting on the 2nd annual event this year – even though directing it again this year makes an already crazy schedule even crazier.

The event has two races. The Mini Monster’s Dash is first at 5:30pm. This 1/2 mile event is free and open to kids of any age – either running it themselves, alongside a parent, or being pushed in a stroller! Costumes are highly encouraged. I’ll never forget last year’s fairy princess who skipped/pranced along the course. Wish I would have taken a video! It was too precious.

The 5k follows at ~5:45pm. It is run along bike paths in Northfield, and again, costumes are encouraged as there are prizes for top-dressed as well as overall and masters winners.

Our Master’s winner from 2015!

(Someone else that has an “udderly fantastic” costume – awesome!)

Did I mention prizes? This year both the Brick Oven Bakery of Northfield and Run N Fun have generously donated gift certificates as well as random drawing items. The bakery will also be providing a ton of sweet treats for afterwards! Thank you to both businesses for your generosity!

Yum. If you’ve been there before, you know what I’m talking about.

If you haven’t visited this bakery, you NEED TO!

What more could you ask for? A fun way to spend your Friday evening for the entire family, and easy way to get a workout in, lots of amazing bakery treats, and a chance at fabulous prizes… all for just $8 if you pre-register by October 21st! Plus… you can meet baby #2, who will likely be 2 weeks old!

So – don’t wait! Here’s the event and registration link!

See you in a there!
